"The concept behind my personal project called „Domestic Immunity“ is the function of the domestic environment at night. Whilst most people are living there lifes outside of their houses in the daytime, spending their time with working, shopping, et cetera; the majority of the world is at home in the nighttime. On my opinion, it is more important to have a domicile at night than having one in the daytime. The reason for that is the fact, that you are usually safe, comfortable and immune while sitting on the couch with your family or sleeping in your bed. I had the idea for this project while thinking about the definition for the word domesticity.

“The quality of being domestic or domesticated“

I started to think about the question “What makes homeless people homeless?“. Just because a person spends the whole day walking around in the city doesn‘t make him homeless, it is the fact that he sleeps in the park, under the bridge or on benches, being in an unsecure environment. This is why I think that the main-function of a domicile is the protective and comfortable aspect at night."

it will propably take a few days until i can show you more of the work i did in bournemouth yet. i still have no acces to any negative-scanners on campus, so i tried to scan this black and white print i did today. i spend loads of hours in the darkrooms since i have no possibility to process and print my own films in germany. the picture above is taken with my mamyia rz67 and ilford delta 400 black and white film, you see ian nyquist.

for my project "begrenzt", i traveled deep into the harz moutains. i visited 20 different houses i have never seen before and just asked, if can take some photos. i went into the buildings and took pictures of the curtains. the curtains and the view absouletly relate to the horizon and the daily life of the people living in these houses, showing the captivity in the own home.

i just came back from a 2-day-berlin trip with my girlfriend. i didn't have a camera with me so i can't show you anything i did there. for everyone who lives in berlin (/visitors), you should visit the camper showroom and the bfn concept store. i took some analog pictures on my last berlin trip, most of them are too messed up to post them. should i do it?

i'm still impressed by pirate radio in london. palladium boots made a documentary about it and some other great locations like teufelsberg in berlin some weeks ago, just watch the trailer or the whole thing on palladiumboots.

for the people who also love the music in the video, the three featured stations are kool fm, flex fm and rinse fm.

the main part of the documentary is about the today's life in detroit ("an urban exploitation with johnny knoxville"). people in the old motor city try to bring life back to the ruins, in form of clubs, restaurants, etc.

the exploitation has 3 parts with german subtitles, to watch them just klick the picture below!

Seitdem du mich letzten Samstag mit 4 Freunden mitten in der Nacht festgehalten hast und von mir eine Rechtfertigung für mein "schwules Aussehen" verlangt hast, mit einem Feuerzeug fast meinen schönen Mantel aus London angezündet hast und mir für meine Äußerung, dass ich gleich die Bullen rufe scheinbar auf die Fresse hauen wolltest, hab ich mir einige Gedanken über den Vorfall gemacht. Was geht in deinem Kopf vor, dass du einen etwa 10 cm kleineren Nerd in engen Hosen und - im Vergleich zu dir - sehr dünnen Oberarmen belästigst, der keine Möglichkeit hat, sich gegen 5 betrunkene Penner wie dich zu wehren, ohne dass dir das peinlich ist? Meine Reaktion abzuhauen mit einem festen Griff an meine Schultern zu beantworten, damit ich mich ja nicht verpissen kann, bestätigt, dass du dir wohl jeglichen Verstand aus dem Kopf gesoffen hast. Ich hoffe, meine Reaktion, bei Facebook deinen Namen zu suchen und mit diesem am nächsten Tag zur Polizei zu gehen, war nicht übertrieben. Übertrieben dumm ist allerdings, sich der Tatsache bewusst zu sein, ein Vorstrafenregister (mit Foto!) zu haben, im Jahr 2008 Körperverletzung begangen zu haben und dann auch noch eine Lusche wie mich anzumachen. Hier ein paar für dich warscheinlich unverständliche Bitten für deine Zukunft:

1. Hau mir das nächste mal direkt auf die Fresse, damit ich dich wegen Körperverletzung anzeigen kann und du eine supergeile Geldstrafe zahlen musst und nicht nur unter Beobachtung stehst, wie jetzt.
2. Wenn du keine Lust hast, dass dich Leute wegen nächtlichen Konflikten anzeigen, such dir Leute auf deinem Niveau, in deiner Grösse und mit deiner Abstammung, die du überflüssigerweise provozieren kannst.
3. Sag deinen Freunden, sie sollen nicht immer dazwischen Reden, so vermeidest du, dass du dich wiederholst, das ist uncool.

i just spent 3 beautiful in my favourite city, berlin! me, my girlfriend, max and his friend lived in a nice hotel in berlin schöneberg (you see the view from our room in the 6th floor), 3 minutes away from the KaDeWe. i propably had the coolest nights in my life there, we visited so many bars and lounges. we nearly spent 3 hours in the art-house "tacheles", where i bought a ring and a wristlet (you see it above). on the fourth picture, you see my arm. i can tell you why it is painted like this: in the tacheles i went up to an asian artist and told him to paint something on my arm! he liked the idea, so he painted something on it. i still have no idea what it means but it was fun!
